This season's counterpart to the successful Tahitienne of Spring Summer 2008, the Cabas Capri or Ipanema . Gone is the 1920's print and is replaced by smaller monogram flowers but is of the same material as the Tahitienne. The bag is wide so it's great for those beach outings. It comes in either Rose, Jaune, Marine or Sable and is slated to be released this April.

On the 4th episode of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12, the girls did a photo shoot posing in groups as different characters in famous Manhattan locations. Allison and London played socialites on Fifth Avenue and shopping the night away with the Louis Vuitton's Fifth Avenue Maison as the stunning backdrop.



Unfortunately, Allison who overanalyzed her shoot, landed in the bottom two with Nijah. But it was Nijah who was cut for her lackluster photos and relying too much on being beautiful to get by in the competition.

Louis Vuitton Speedy To Be Renamed As Fasty



The iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy is set to be renamed this coming Fall 2009. Louis Vuitton representatives stated that the classic handbag will be renamed as Fasty as it sounds more appealing to those who needs a perfect bag that would fit their fast-paced lives.

In addition, the name of the sizes will also be replaced with the new ones inspired by the sizes of Starbucks Coffee. The new names are as follows:

Speedy 25 - Fasty Short
Speedy 30 - Fasty Tall
Speedy 35 - Fasty Grande
Speedy 40 - Fasty Venti

The name change will take effect this coming Fall 2009.

For the upcoming Louis Vuitton Ad Campaign for Fall/Winter 2009-2010, Marc Jacobs has tapped U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama as the new face of the brand for next season. Marc Jacobs said that Michelle Obama is just perfect for the campaign as the first lady exudes an air of elegance and classic sensuality. The campaign will be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at the grounds of the White House this coming May 2009.

Safari is crafted from supple calfskin and perforated with the Louis Vuitton signature with gold leather backing and with Stephen Sprouse Leopard jacquard fabric made from a complex and intricate weaving technique. Go day-glo in the Stephen Sprouse exhibition area at the Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation exhibit in Hong Kong Museum of Art where Stephen's designs, paintings, and sketches are set up reminiscent of the 1980's New York punk rock scene. Also, the original (2001) and tribute (2009) Louis Vuitton Graffiti collection can be found in key points of the area. If you're a Sprouse fan, this place sure is heaven!
